Alibaba promotes fraudulent transactions
I made a purchase on the Alibaba website and paid directly there, which included a service fee. I also opted for inspection, but the seller refused to have the item inspected, raising a red flag. I inquired about this and discovered that the item I ordered was 90% different from what the seller intended to send; it was old and used. I reported the scam to Alibaba, and while they issued a refund, they kept the service fee. If I had paid through PayPal, I would have received a full refund. When I requested a refund for the fee, they fabricated stories to justify keeping it. I've been using Alibaba for 20 years, and unfortunately, 80% of my orders have been scams. Now it seems Alibaba is a scam itself, taking fees and failing to refund them when aware of fraudulent activity. Locate a seller and conduct your research, but avoid using their platform for payment.
