Charged the Full Price for a DIY Trip - Avoid This Lhasa Scam
I contacted this agency to obtain the necessary permits for a trip to Lhasa that my friends and I were planning ourselves. We were very clear from the beginning: we only needed the permits and would handle our own flights, hotels, and excursions once we arrived. Despite our explicit instructions, they sent us a detailed itinerary full of expensive excursions and treks that we did not request. When we asked for a revised quote that only included the permits, we were shocked to learn the price was the same: a staggering $1,200 for two people. They essentially expected us to pay $1,200 for the privilege of walking around the city on our own, without any of the included tours. This is a deceptive and unfair pricing model. I strongly advise other independent travellers to steer clear of this company to avoid being scammed.
