BankFive's Somerset
BankFive's Somerset, MA office showed a lack of interest in securing a rollover of large CD's that were maturing. The CD had been rolled over several times at favorable rates that I had researched and proposed to the bank for acceptance. This time I had researched favorable interest rates at other local banks for CD products and proposed them to BostonFive. BostonFive showed no interest in competing and I withdrew the CD's on their maturity date. Even the bank teller at the BankFive in Somerset seemed surprised that the bank was letting such a large amount of money be withdrawn. The bank manager was present during the withdrawal. I drove up the road to TFed in Taunton where the interest rate I proposed to BostonFive was accepted and a CD with the favorable interest rate was issued.
