Purchased the product to recover my Excel file giving me file extension or format not valid error message. Upon running the initial free version, it suggested that the repair is successful. I couldn't see the repaired file with the free version, so purchased the subscription. Post purchase, the repaired file still did not open suggesting that the file is corrupt. So, this program may be useful in other situations but it did not help in my case.
