I needed to register for probate after a family death and I was dreading the whole thing having done it before it became possible to do it online. The whole process was a lot easier than filling in the 20 page form and because I could make the legal declaration sitting on my sofa (rather than traipsing 40 miles to the nearest family court) I saved myself time and money. I was resigned to waiting up to six months for the whole thing to be processed but was shocked to have been informed that probate had been granted within two days of posing the original will - and to have received the grant through my letterbox within two weeks of filling in the online form and pressing send. Wow. Fast and efficient.
