I have never recommended Fwd
I have always recommended Fwd . But when it came to a major claim, they were unable to do so. I was stuck in Greece , taking a flight to Dubai then back to Singapore. Bur due to the Dubai flooding, I had to purchase another flight. Then when I submitted my claims to fwd. They immediately rejected it without hesitation. My other 2 friends who bought from Chubb's insurance and MSIG insurance was able to claim for the alternative flight they purchased and they were paid. This happened in may but till today the FWD claims department has not made payment to me and requested that I have 1) An official letter from Emirates Airlines regarding the refund status of your unused flight from Athens to Singapore. 2) An official letter from Emirates Airlines indicating if any compensation was offered. My other 2 friends who bought from other travel insurance companies did not have to provide any letters from emirates. The flooding issue in Dubai was in the news and such a big issue but Fwd could not even understand the frustration and impact it had for a traveller who had to purchase an alternative flight and yet when I reached Singapore and submitted, they did not bother to understand the situation and claims. Disappointed that fwd claim department compared to other insurers.
