Passed both National and Texas State exams first try in 8 weeks.
I just took my National and State exams today and passed both on my first try so I figured I would give an honest review of Aceable Agent. I had been looking around at real estate schools both at the local Junior College and online with other services and hadn't even heard of Aceable before signing up. I searched on Google for Texas Real Estate Licensing course online and they were one of the results. I looked up reviews and saw they had a ton on Trustpilot and decided to give them a go. The few bad reviews I did see online were just about the site design or about other things not really related to the coursework. Even then the majority of bad reviews were years old so if they had issues they seems to have since resolved them. The one thing that I did like was that it was completely self paced since I keep weird hours because of work and had to study at random times. The first course took me 3 weeks and the second took me two weeks. After that I decided to just take time off work and focus only on completing the course and I finished the entire course in 6 weeks. I applied for my test and passed it on my first try at around 8 weeks. I went with their most expensive and inclusive package because it also already includes the 98 hours of continuing education for newly licensed agents and also has Legal Update 1 & 2 which you need to complete before your first renewal. I was able to get a coupon code that gave me 20% off and so I paid $535 for the whole thing which is an absolute STEAL compared to other courses at double or more the price. The material is very similar to the test however I will say that Aceable is actually HARDER than the ACTUAL exam which is great since you never know what they are going to test you on. There was arguably a lot less math on the test than I was anticipating and some stuff was not at all covered but it's still good to know. The way that I approached the course was this. I did it on my computer at home and focused only on that. I turned off the narration since I found myself getting distracted and opening other tabs if I had it reading to me and instead focused on reading everything myself. I tried not to skip anything or skim over it and just went thru all the pages one by one. I also read the entirety of TRELA and the 6 promulgated contracts a couple times to already have them memorized and make the courses easier. Then after finishing the individual course but BEFORE taking the final exam I would hop over to their "Ace Mode" practice and go thru all of the quizzes until I had at least a 95 on all of them especially because the quizzes had questions and info about stuff that either wasn't covered in the course or had only been gone over very briefly. Then after that I would take the final exam for the course. My scores for the 6 final exams were: Principles of Real Estate I - 100% Principles of Real Estate II - 100% Law of Agency - 90% Law of Contracts - 96% Promulgated Contracts - 98% Real Estate Finance - 96% Another thing to note is that I was not cheating or looking up answers while taking these final exams because I knew that the ACTUAL state exam at Pearson-Vue is proctored so it was in my best interest to actually learn everything. Everyone studies differently and so I didn't have any notes or flashcards etc since I rely heavily on memory. I was using the quizzes as my flash cards and just taking them repeatedly until I memorized everything I could. I will say this. Once you finish Principles 1 & 2 it's pretty much all repetition from there. Principles 1 covers the most variety and quantity of information. After that you're just going over TRELA, contract forms, TILA, ADA, etc. over and over. The package I purchased also came with: Ultimate State Exam Prep Ultimate National Exam Prep Ultimate Combined Exam Prep PrepAgent Texas Salespersons Exam Prep The exam prep courses are screen after screen of all the key terms and important things to remember for your test. Then you can take practice exams as well and I scored: Ultimate State Exam Prep - 96% Ultimate National Exam Prep - 96% Ultimate Combined Exam Prep - 93% I never got around to starting on PrepAgent Texas Salespersons Exam Prep and I didn't take them up on the free hour of one on one tutoring either. The day before my test I took the practice tests again and went thru all of the slides and they REALLY REALLY came in handy. Some questions on the state exam I was able to answer directly from having studied the day before. Another thing to note is that their customer service is superb. I must have emailed them back and forth about 100 times about random questions or typos I noticed or even just for advice on how to study before the test and they got back to me very quickly sometimes within the hour. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend aceable if you're looking to get your real estate license. Will be using them again when I get my broker license.
