Hire for bots and ghosts accounts
I was excited to work with Plixi after launching a new instagram account to promote my new business. I was sceptical, but committed to a one-month programme to give it a go. What can I say? I received 220 followers, which was way below the 500 they assured me I would receive. This was not the worst part. When I analysed the followers I had received, none of them were relevant to the content I was sharing, the hashtags I was posting. All of them appeared to be ghost or bot accounts, having no posts at all, or else having posted, but not in months, sometimes more than a year. Some of the accounts were following well over a thousand people but had no followers themselves - clearly accounts being used to drove up the follower accounts of other people. I then made a complaint to Plixi by email who denied everything and said they didn't use bot accounts or ghost accounts. I have responded to their dismissive email with further evidence, proving my points and I am awaiting further comment. In the interim, my instagram account has not grown at all as the impact of all of these fake accounts has stunted my growth - as none of the account were actively posting or engaging with my content - PLixi have pushed me into a dead part of instagram where the algorithm doesn't understand my account, nor know what to do with it. I am not particularly bothered about the money - £35 is not a big spend. What I am annoyed at is the fake promises, the false guarantees, the inadvertent damage resulting in my needing to launch a new instagram and then the fact they lied about it all. Steer clear, invest in a professional marketer, or do the hard work yourself. It will pay off far more than Plixi can. I have given them a star for their speedy communication.
