Defective piece and delivered without having gone through Quality Check
The Power Bank did not work when I inserted cells! I removed the cells and inserted only one in the first slot. It did not work. I shifted the cell to the last slot, it showed 100%. And when I pressed the button for a long time, the LED light also came. But soon, both, the display and the LED light, stopped. With the button/ switch kept pressed, I gently tapped the Power Bank; and, I could see a display of 100% for a short time. Then nothing could be seen. I suspected a loose connection. I opened the two screws after removing the back cover and tried to separate the two parts of the Power Bank Case. In the process, the side latches/ locks made out of thin plastic got damaged, despite taking all the possible precautions. To my utter surprise, the positive side strip (which is supposed to be in contact with the positive end of the six cells, was just resting on a metallic part of the PCB. Obviously, it was supposed to have been soldered to that point of the PCB; but, it was not! I soldered the strip to the PCB and re-assembled the case. I had fully charged each of the six cells that I had planned to use in this Power Bank. This is very important: each of the cells should have almost the same voltage before inserting in the Power Bank Case. I inserted all the six cells and checked. The display showed 100%. Tried LED light, it worked. I recharged a phones from about 85% to 100% and it recharged at 2.5 A most of the time. The Power Bank capacity fell to 90% after recharging this phone. I then, recharged the Power Bank to 100%. After 13 hours, the Power Bank continued to show 100% capacity. Looks like good circuit/ electronics. I am very sorry to say that the Company is not doing Quality Check before packing. Further, the assembly of the two parts of the case could have been made with the help of six screws, instead of two screws and plastic locks/ latches which are very weak and sure to get damaged while dis-assembling and re-assembling. Also, the back cover could have been opened and closed by use of one or two machine screws, instead of the present plastic stud with the screw-driver slot on it.
