High Quality and Fast
I needed a quality wheelset with a shorter rim depth than my WTO 60's due to the Texas winds. After days of back and forth with Jay...we decided on the F4r FCC 45mm wheelset. First thing...they are awesome looking! Second...the come ready to install your TLR tires with rim strips and valve stems already installed! My impression on the first ride started off mixed...because well...I was expecting unrealistic improvement because I was so excited about the wheels...I mean they are a quality set of mid-height wheels not extra power in my legs or fitness!! haha I really noticed a difference riding across an uneven wooden bridge on my loop. They seem to absorb the bumps noticeably better then my Campy wheels. The real test came when I turned crosswind...instead of feeling my bars pull because of the wind...I felt nothing...they tracked in the crosswind very well. When I turned into the wind...they held speed and were very stable. These are outstanding all around wheels. I am able to roll 20+ and keep the speed up. I originally bought these wheels for windy days, but these F4r FCC wheels are going to be my daily riders! After 200 miles...I am very happy with my purchase. Definitely worth the couple hundred dollars more than the Taiwanese or Chinese wheels for starters...just the hubs! High quality for sure!! Now consider the spokes and rims and it's a no brainer! FFWD for the win!!!
