Bizarre customer service
Update: My Potensic Atom did not function right from the start. Potensic states they have a 30 day hassle free return period for whatever reason. I reported the defect 10 days after purchasing. They refused to accept the return of the defective drone even after I went to extent of sending photos and videos which should never be asked for to start with. This is false advertising. All buyers beware Potensic does not honor their 30 day hastle free return agreement if my experience is the norm. What is worse is they were rude to me on top of this. There are equally good drones on the market. It is better to use another company that honors their return agreement and treats customers more courteously. You don't want to disappoint your child or have your business disrupted with this kind of experience. At this point even paying for a new drone would not compensate for the bad experience. As you can see below from their reply to this original post they told me to take a video with no offer to return. Their reply here on my post is evidence if readers have any doubts on my comments about their customer service. Original post: I bought a Potensic atom drone with a gimbal camera. The camera arrived broken. A week and a half later I wrote to Potensic The representative asked me to make a personal handwritten drawing of the drone, which is way out of line!, he/she wanted logs, detailed photos of the entire drone. I sent all he/she asked minus me making personal drawings. After that another email followed saying he wanted me to send my memory card to see if I had broken the camera myself. I said I would like to send the drone back for them to look at it and would be happy to pay for postage and they could make a decision as to what to do with the drone in hand. I was polite. I am a university professor not a kid. This was the worst and most unusual experience I have had with any customer service. Their guarantee on their website: I quote they state a hassle free "30-Day Money-Back Guarantee for Any Reason Undamaged products may be returned for a full refund for any reason within 30 days of the date the item was delivered to the designated shipping address. Once the returned item arrives back in Potensic’s warehouse for inspection, the refund process will begin" You can check the website yourself.
