Replacement cover for retired IKEA sofa
Since IKEA had retired my couch style, I was looking for different custom cover options to replace the tires cover we had. After discovering Masters of Covers sent free fabric samples, I knew it was going yo be the one. The samples were essential since colors can appear very different on a screen and in real life and the fabrics texture was important for me and my family (including our cat - who had an opinion too!). Once the cover arrived, I knew it wasn’t going yo be a simple swap. I had to redo some of the batting on the arms and discovered along with a few other repairs. It took several hours, not because the cover was hard to replace, but because of the repairs needed and allowing the glue to dry. The cover was a little bigger than the original, but I was able to make it work. My husband, kids, and cat were impressed! And it feels like we have a brand new couch. I’m so grateful we didn’t have to add the frame and foam into landfill. Thank you!
