Changing my China experience
I first heard about GoEast from a friend I hadn’t seen in six months—his sudden fluency in Chinese amazed me! He highly recommended the school, saying he felt like he was wasting the last five years learning with private teachers and on his own. He wished someone had told him about this school earlier because it’s where he finally started making super-fast progress. That convinced me to give GoEast a try, and I couldn’t agree more. What makes it stand out is its focus on conversation skills. In my case I was using Duolingo before, but unlike apps like Duolingo, which I found very limiting for real-life practice, GoEast pushes you to speak and engage. Plus, with the app doesn’t explain grammar/words rules, which slowed my learning. However, at GoEast, the teachers explain everything clearly, which makes understanding and progressing so much faster. The teachers are fantastic—super nice and always checking in to make sure we’re doing okay. They also organize non-mandatory monthly events, which add a fun and social aspect to the school. If you want to make real progress in Mandarin, I can’t recommend GoEast enough!
