3D Printed Parts Printed in Aluminum
I had some plastic and pot-metal parts on a bandsaw that were either broken or weak/flexible. I remodeled these with stronger cross sections and had IN3DTEC 3D print these in aluminum. The parts are absolutely beautiful ... almost like artwork. Will definitely keep these guys in mind for future projects. Two notes for my future projects: 1) The printed aluminum didn't hold threads very well so from now on, I'll design in hex pockets for nuts. 2) I designed in a little clearance between the parts but had to file them to get them to fit. Simple fix is to design in more clearance.
