Just don't do it
Last year, I purchased a flight pass that offered an unlimited number of flights, with the expectation that I would only be responsible for paying airport fees. Initially, the service seemed promising, and I was satisfied with the concept. However, as time went on, several issues arose that made the experience less appealing. While the initial costs appeared affordable, I soon discovered that the provider, Optiontown, added significant service fees, which made the overall price much higher than anticipated. What seemed like a cost-effective deal quickly became less competitive as the service fees accumulated. The situation worsened during the summer months when I encountered frequent booking issues. On multiple occasions, there were technical "glitches" that prevented me from securing flights, sometimes taking weeks to resolve. As a result, I found myself having to purchase tickets directly from airlines, as the reliability of the flight pass became increasingly questionable. In addition to the booking problems, the cost of my tickets gradually increased. Initially priced at €49, the cost per flight doubled to €99 over a few months, making the pass less attractive as time went on. By the end of the year, I chose to book directly with airlines to avoid the complications and rising prices associated with the flight pass. In conclusion, while the concept of an unlimited flight pass may seem appealing, my experience was ultimately unsatisfactory due to hidden fees, technical difficulties, and rising costs. I would advise caution for anyone considering this service, as the value proposition diminished significantly over time.
