Sold Me a Used Code and Wasted My Vacation
I bought a $100 Xbox card while on vacation to enjoy some gaming. I received two $50 codes. One of them was not redeemable, as it had apparently already been used before I purchased it. Livecards’ customer service was terrible and robotic. They made me spend an entire day providing screenshots and other proof to show that I was not the one who had redeemed the code. Eventually, I took it upon myself to contact Microsoft directly, and they formally confirmed that the code had been redeemed well before my purchase date. Even with this confirmation, Livecards made me wait another full day before issuing a new code. They ruined two days of my vacation over something that was clearly not my fault, and they didn’t offer any form of compensation. Disgraceful. The fact that such codes can be sold by Livecards shows a worrying level of amateurism and raises doubts about how reliable they really are.
