This company is a masterclass in how to say “we appreciate your service” while doing absolutely nothing to actually help. I notified them immediately that I am an active duty service member facing a short notice and unexpected deployment to a secure location with no mail access, and requested cancellation while the order was still early in production. Their response? Repeated policy copy-paste and zero flexibility. They openly acknowledged my situation—and still chose to proceed with shipping a ~$600 item to an address they know will be unoccupied for an extended period of time. That’s not a limitation. That’s a deliberate business decision. What’s most frustrating is the illusion of customer service: polished emails, polite language, and repeated apologies—paired with absolutely no meaningful action. No escalation, no attempt at a reasonable accommodation, no ownership of the situation—just rigid adherence to policy regardless of context. When given the opportunity to exercise basic discretion and support a time-sensitive, real-world circumstance, this company chose their convenience over integrity. If everything goes perfectly, you’ll probably be fine. But if anything requires even minimal flexibility, don’t expect help—expect scripted responses and a company that prioritizes process over people.
