DISAPPOINTED & FRUSTRATED
I recently purchased the LOKLiK iEngrave from HTVRont's website... it marketed the tool as beginner friendly; first - no instructions for set up came with the engraver; you have to go to the site to download... secondly, the instructions seem to be incomplete; for example there's no mention of the honeycomb board - as a beginner - what is it, what does it do, when do I use it - how is it installed, do I just lay it there? I don't know... next, the air assist... you get online instructions on how to install - but again - what is it, what does it do, when do I use it? I received what I purchased, but feel like I can't do anything with it until I do more research on my own, crossing my fingers I don't screw up with trial and error - interestingly enough many of the links provided (i.e. tutorialvideos and link for reviews) aren't working - so youtube will apparently become my friend in this process... these aren't toys and can be dangerous if not used correctly - but how can we use it correctly when there aren't any real instructions other than 'setup' basically -how to take the machine from box to table --- then what? I own several other types of tools, machines and equipment - have NEVER been so frustrated with any of the others -- I feel like this machine is certainly NOT beginner friendly. Disappointed in the purchase - was considering purchasing the DTF D2 next - but this has certainly left a bad taste in my mouth - and will likely go elsewhere for my DTF printer --- will certainly do more research next time... My excitement has turned into pure disappointment.
