I have purchased 10 of these from bee brothers. 3 different styles. I have had great results. Like walking outsize a month ago to see 100’s swarming my log cabin to today, where I can only count 5. If you have an infestation and are not catching them, it’s not the traps fault. You need to make their former homes uninhabitable. The key is to locate all their little holes, force them out and kill them on the exit. I have had great results with pushing a long zip tie in at different angles. It seems like there is always more than 1 bee and multiple branches. The zip tie rarely kills them, but can agitate and make them exit. (Can be startling up on a ladder with face a few inches away because they love to next in the logs behind the roofline trim) a blower with a small tube rigged to end or can of duster will also get them buzzing in the nest and tell you if the hole is active or not. I use puffer and shoot delta dust into hole. Then use can of duster to blast it all throughout the different tunnels. Wait a few days then seal the hole. At that point the ones still alive will be a lot more apt to go into the trap. I also put a few bees in the trap and put bait on each hole. I have gotten over 100 trapped and 140 killed with a putty knife, foot, block of wood, etc while forcing them out the home or walking around to see where they are going to find best trap locations. I had to experiment with where best locations are. I thought the areas that had the most holes bored would be best but for us it’s just under the eaves and peaks of roof line, and same for each dormer.
