Avoid Earn2Trade if you value fair treatment and trader-friendly risk controls
Avoid Earn2Trade if you value fair treatment and trader-friendly risk controls I've traded with 15+ futures prop firms over the past three years, and this has been by far my worst experience. I purchased a brand-new Gauntlet 200 evaluation for approximately $275. The account lasted less than 20 seconds. I intended to place one order for 20 MNQ micro contracts in Tradovate. The order didn't immediately appear, so I clicked again. All three clicks were accepted 7 seconds, resulting in an accidental 60-micro position. My actual loss was only about $189. Instead of rejecting an oversized order like virtually every other prop firm I've traded with, Earn2Trade allowed the order to execute and then immediately issued a permanent Hard Breach under their Progression Ladder rule. I contacted support immediately, explained that it was an accidental duplicate order, and even asked management to review the timestamps. They acknowledged it was an honest mistake but still refused to provide any accommodation—not a reset, not a replacement account, and not even a goodwill exception. Their solution? "Buy another account or purchase a reset." That response tells me everything I need to know about how they treat customers. What makes this even worse is that this situation could easily be prevented. Almost every other futures prop firm I've used enforces maximum position size before the order is accepted. If you exceed the limit, the order is rejected. Earn2Trade instead allows the prohibited order to execute and then permanently fails your account. I was seriously considering purchasing multiple Earn2Trade accounts, but after this experience I asked them to close all of my accounts instead. My advice to anyone considering Earn2Trade: Read every rule very carefully. Understand the Progression Ladder before placing your first trade. If Tradovate appears delayed, do not click again. Be aware that an honest execution mistake may permanently end your evaluation with no discretion from management. There are many prop firms in this industry. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Earn2Trade.
