I'm using the really basic functionalities ; save a disk, and save the system. Saving a disk starting with a full save, and regular incremental saves, is prohibitively slow. Saving the full disk took more than 5 hours, possibly just the time needed to transfer 680 Gbytes ; doing incremental saves with very little data added and needing to be transferred (5 very minor Word and pdf files) takes about 3 hours. When I look at the size of the resulting inc files which took all that time, they turn out to be 40 to 50 gigabytes. My remarks are based on little experience, but I haven't time to use applications which start out with lamentable performance. To add to the inconvenience, after the end of the incremental backup, it continues writing to the destination ; I suspect it's doing a record-by-record check of the backed up version. It just adds to the impression of lousy performance.
