AVOID ATK AT ALL COSTS
Issues with ATK (as usual)
I have two ATK RS6 keyboards, the Aspas Edition and the White Shadow Warrior (which I bought after all the problems I had with the Aspas Edition, because I thought I had been unlucky to receive a defective product and that this time I would receive a good product that works). Unfortunately, both have had serious issues that should not exist on a product marketed as “premium.” After months of troubleshooting, constant emails, and repeated bugs, I feel obligated to share my full experience so other buyers know what they are getting into.
My first RS6 (Aspas Edition): USB disconnection problems. As soon as I received my Aspas Edition, it started showing USB disconnection issues.
The keyboard would randomly disconnect and reconnect constantly while typing or playing. After extensive testing, I found something very strange:
the original cable that comes with the keyboard only had problems with this keyboard, not with any other device I own. ATK eventually admitted there was a physical tolerance issue with their own USB-C cable and that they were investigating it internally. (If you want to know more about this case, I have other reviews here on the website explaining everything in detail).
A new and even worse problem: the keyboard typing by itself. One day, I turned on my PC as usual, and when I got to the Windows login screen, the keyboard started typing on its own like crazy.
Random characters, commands, everything, as if someone was smashing the keyboard. I had to disconnect the keyboard, reboot the PC, and only then did it stop. This was extremely alarming.
After all the trouble with my first RS6, I bought the White Shadow Warrior hoping for a clean experience. But then I encountered a new version of the same problem: When I change to certain RGB Lighting Effect Modes in the ATK Hub software, the keyboard immediately goes completely insane, it starts inputting dozens of keys by itself, opening Windows commands, typing random characters, and acting totally out of control. This happens instantly when selecting certain RGB profiles.
If I switch back to a normal profile, it stops instantly.
The ATK V3 Hub software is unstable and poorly translated. The new software is extremely buggy and not fully translated into English, even with the language set to English, many update messages and interface elements appear only in Chinese.
ATK Support keeps blaming USB power or cables: Every time I contact support, they insist that the problems are caused by USB power instability, or “bad cable” (which is the cable that comes with the keyboard, meaning they admit that the stock cables are bad).
I have tested everything thoroughly, and the fact that the bug happens exactly when changing specific RGB profiles proves the cause is not the USB port or the cable.
ATK sells their keyboards as “premium,” and the RS6 is endorsed by one of the biggest names in Valorant, but my real experience has been extremely disappointing. One RS6 with months of USB disconnection problems, another RS6 that types by itself when switching RGB modes, software full of bugs and untranslated text, repeated issues even with official cables and high-end hardware, support that keeps insisting the problem is USB power instead of acknowledging software/firmware bugs.
ATK has terrible quality control in their products. Don’t waste your money on them. Avoid ATK at all costs.

Still no real solution after 5 months

Update — November: Five Months Later, Still No Real Solution
This is an update to my previous review from June 8.
It’s now November 3rd, and sadly, nothing has changed, the problem with my ATK × Aspas RS6 Ultra is still unresolved.
After more than five months of endless back-and-forth, emails, testing, and patience, every single Aspas Edition cable I’ve ever received has eventually failed.
The issue is exactly the same as day one: the cable randomly disconnects and reconnects whenever I move the keyboard slightly.
ATK has sent me four different Aspas Edition cables so far, including the “latest, fully tested” replacements they claimed were not defective, and all of them eventually started failing. The only cable that still works is the black 8K replacement, but that’s irrelevant because I paid for the full Aspas Edition package, which includes the matching purple cable that should work properly.
Throughout this entire ordeal, I’ve done everything humanly possible as a customer:
. Sent multiple videos proving the issue.
. Tested different cables, PCs, and ports to eliminate every variable.
. Spent my own money on five third-party cables trying to help identify the problem.
. Responded politely and cooperatively to every single request.
After months of this, ATK’s “final solution” was:
They told me to return absolutely everything, the keyboard, keycaps, and all the cables, for a refund.
That is not a solution.
I never asked for a refund, and I don’t want to return the keyboard (again, because they already replaced a keyboard a few months ago, and the problem didn't seem to be with the keyboard). I actually like the keyboard itself, and it still works fine with other cables. I just wanted a properly working Aspas cable or a real resolution after all these months.
But instead of fixing the issue, ATK now seems determined to close the case and move on.
They ignore emails for weeks, avoid taking responsibility, and refuse to admit that the Aspas Edition cables have a design or quality-control flaw.
At this point, I’ve accepted that ATK simply doesn’t care.
They would rather lose a loyal customer than provide a genuine solution.
Five months, countless messages, videos, and tests later, nothing.
If you’re thinking of buying from ATK, please learn from my experience.
They may make good-looking products, but when something goes wrong, you’re on your own.
EDIT after ATK’s reply:
Your public reply is full of misleading statements and omissions, so I need to clarify a few important facts:
The replacement keyboard was sent because the original one had a confirmed defect and stopped working completely, that’s not a “favor” or a “complimentary item.” It’s a basic warranty obligation.
The extra cables were sent because the original one didn’t work properly. You promised they were tested for compatibility with the ATK × Aspas RS6 Ultra, yet all of them showed the same instability issue. This was later acknowledged by your own team as a known problem with the Aspas Edition’s connector tolerance.
You claim I “refused” to record videos, which is false. I sent multiple videos and photos over the course of months. I even offered to do a live video call to demonstrate all the cables disconnecting in real time, but that offer was completely ignored.
You also claim I requested “free keyboards or gifts,” which is absolutely untrue. All I ever asked for was a real solution, either a working cable or fair compensation after months of wasted time and broken promises.
“Extensive support” doesn’t mean sending generic replies like “please wait patiently” for weeks or ignoring follow-ups altogether. It means solving the issue, which never happened.
After five months of messages, tests, and false assurances, the issue remains unresolved. The “tested” cable you sent still fails on the exact same keyboard.
I liked ATK’s products and wanted to keep supporting the brand. But this entire experience has been exhausting and deeply disappointing.
At this point, your public reply feels less like a genuine explanation and more like an attempt to shift the blame to the customer, which is exactly why I’m sharing the full truth here.

If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would.
This has been the worst customer experience of my entire life.
I purchased the ATK × Aspas RS6 Ultra Aluminum Hall Effect Keyboard directly from ATK’s official store. I had already seen several complaints online about their poor customer support and slow shipping, but I liked the keyboard’s specs and design, and as a Brazilian fan of Aspas (a world-class Valorant player), I decided to take the risk.
The keyboard started disconnecting by itself on the second day of use. I tested several cables, CableMod, Best Buy generic cables, and others, and only one of them temporarily worked. The original ATK cable was completely unstable. I found a note in the ATK software saying that high brightness could cause disconnections, so I lowered the lighting to safe levels (below 60), but the issue continued.
I recorded videos and sent proof to ATK support. After many days of back and forth, they finally agreed to send me a replacement Aspas Edition cable, plus an extra 8K RGB cable and limited edition keycaps, but only after I pushed hard and insisted that they offer compensation.
A few days later, the keyboard became completely unusable, disconnecting with any cable. I had to ship it back to China from Canada, which cost me $390 CAD. Thankfully, they reimbursed that amount about a week later.
However, the broken keyboard arrived at their facility before they had even shipped the replacement, and once again I had to send multiple messages to get them to act. Their replies were slow, unhelpful, and often just generic phrases like “please wait patiently.”
Eventually, they shipped the replacement keyboard and the promised items, though they told me the Aspas cable was out of stock and wouldn’t be included. I accepted it, despite how strange it was to have the keyboard but not the matching cable.
To my surprise, the Aspas cable did arrive with the shipment. I thought the nightmare was finally over.
But then, after just two days of using the keyboard with the new cable, it started disconnecting again.
Thankfully, I had other cables around, and so far the keyboard works with those, but it defeats the purpose. I paid for the full set, and the official cable still doesn't work reliably.
— The support experience was slow, disorganized, and inconsistent.
— I received different responses from email, Discord, and their website, as if their staff weren’t even communicating with each other.
— I had to push them every step of the way just to get basic service.
— I lost money, time, and peace of mind because of this product.
On paper, this keyboard has good specs. But in reality, it’s an unfinished product backed by a company that offers terrible support and questionable quality control.
And now, after more than 2 months of back-and-forth, countless unanswered emails, and broken promises, the issue still hasn’t been resolved. They’ve stopped replying to me altogether, it feels like they just gave up on trying to fix the problem.
And here’s the worst part: when they sent me a new cable, they told me this exact sentence: “The new cable has been tested for compatibility with the ATK × Aspas keyboard, and it should fully resolve the issue. You can rest assured that it will work as expected.” Once again, they failed. That promise was not kept, because the cable they supposedly tested arrived with the same defects.
ATK is the worst brand I’ve ever dealt with. I strongly recommend buying keyboards or mice from literally any other company.
I will never again spend my time, money, or sanity dealing with ATK.
Avoid ATK at all costs.
🔄EDIT: Update after ATK’s reply
Thank you for replying here, but your statement does not fully reflect the situation.
Yes, you did send me multiple replacement cables, a replacement keyboard, and eventually reimbursed my shipping. However, these actions only happened after weeks of delays and after I insisted many times. They were not proactive measures of goodwill, but the minimum response to a defective product.
Most importantly, the real issue remains unresolved. Over the last 4 months, I have received 4 different cables from ATK. Three of them developed the exact same disconnection problems after only 2–3 days of use. I am currently testing the fourth cable, but it is too early to confirm whether it will hold up or fail like the others.
Your public reply here gives the impression that the case is closed, but in reality it is still ongoing after months of back-and-forth. My trust in ATK has been damaged not only by the repeated technical failures, but also by the inconsistent support and lack of lasting solutions.
AND suspiciously, after my review, dozens of 5-star reviews appeared in a very short time, raising ATK’s rating from 2.8 to 4.1 stars. I question the authenticity of these reviews.
