Mammotion LUBA2 AWD
I did an extensive research on what’s available on the robot mowers market. While my yard is not the biggest, it is uneven and has some steep slopes. Most of the robots are not designed to handle any grades over few degrees. If they do, the price is out of my range. I also wanted a mower which doesn’t require perimeter wiring and is able to get as close to the edge of the mowing zone as possible, to minimize additional yard work. Mammotion LUBA2 AWD checked all of the criteria. While it is too early for me to write a long-term review (I’ve had it only for a week), it met almost all of my expectations. Auto-mapping, in my limited experience, tends to be spotty and I get much better results with manual mapping. The only other small gripe I have is that you can’t map out no-go zones and the edge of mowable area, such as adjacent to the residence’s wall - it needs to be an enclosed space within parameter of mowing zone. I think this is something that can be easily fixed with firmware update. The other thing worth mentioning is that LUBA2 AWD does not come with a replaceable battery like some of the other Mammotion's units do. Will this be serviceable by user once the warranty runs out? Time will tell, but considering significant price of the unit, it is a valid concern. All things considered, I am happy with the product thus far. This is why I give it solid 4 stars, seeing room for improvement.
