Traveloka Regulations
Traveloka is a convenient platform for booking flights, hotels, and vacation packages. However, I have noticed an issue when booking hotels through the app. Similar to Airbnb, Traveloka partners with hotel or property owners, but sometimes there are no clear regulations about additional charges. Many customers, including myself, have experienced situations where hotels request extra fees during check-in that were never mentioned during the booking process. Unfortunately, Traveloka does not seem to provide strict rules or fair solutions to protect customers in these cases. Even worse, there are no proper consequences for hotels that engage in this kind of unfair practice. I believe Traveloka should improve transparency and establish stronger regulations to ensure customers are fully informed about all costs upfront, and that hotels are held accountable for hidden charges. This would help build more trust and provide a better experience for all users.
