Disgraceful customer service
I have never experienced such shockingly poor customer service from an airline. We booked with China Eastern for our honeymoon, only to discover that they would not correct a simple name update on my ticket – not even for a fee. Every other airline I’ve dealt with has a process for this, but China Eastern’s answer was simply no. No flexibility, no willingness to help, no basic consideration for their passengers. Getting through to their customer service was a nightmare in itself: refusal to assist by email but instead long waits on costly phone calls. This was our honeymoon trip, something we had been looking forward to for months, and China Eastern made it unnecessarily stressful. An airline that refuses to resolve such a minor and common issue shows how little they value their customers.
