1800Accountant Complaint The original sales person who signed us up made many promises that never happened. The first accountant we were assigned to stood us up for our first meeting and never showed. We were re-assigned and the second accountant never produced an actual business tax plan after 3 different phone calls and promises. Every conversation with him, we had to reiterate who we were, what our companies were, our goals, and our situation to remind him. We were paying over $3k per year…for someone who can’t even remember what our business is? He made promises he never followed through with. Communication is horrible with 1800Accountant…being confined to the portal to make contact with our accountant is absurd, inconvenient, and very difficult. Also being confined to only one 30 minute conversation at a time regardless of the importance of the topic or any deadlines made working with their company exhausting and wasted so much of our time and theirs with all the rescheduling, reintroductions, etc. When we went to cancel, the representative was rude and had a strong attitude. They insisted that the refund wasn’t a full refund even though we were within our 30 day window and that 10% was going to be kept because they put work into creating an account for us …even though we didn’t get any of the services we were paying for! I argued and insisted to speak with a manager, so they “waived” the 10% “fee”, but how many people still pay for it? This was a terrible experience and I do not recommend this company.
