Expensive returns and expensive for a dress from China.
I ordered colour samples which arrived very quickly and were beautiful which gave me hope for the dress. While the dress itself was a lovely design, the colour was fabulous and it fit well, except the shoulders being a bit too big on me. I was surprised to discover the dress is made and shipped from China. For the price I expected it to be made more locally, hence the long (but not unreasonable) shipping time frame. The dress arrived on time, the box was fairly battered and the dress was scrunched up into a small bag resulting in it being awfully creased. Again, I was surprised as this is something you wouldn't expect for the price. The dress also didn't seem worth the money as there were bits of stitching coming loose before even trying it on, it didn't feel like a premium dress at all unfortunately. I returned the dress, which is a simple process, however I was charged £10 to return it!! This was for non-signed for delivery which only costs under £4 via Royal Mail, it does state online they charge for the return + taxes, however this definitely doesn't come to £10, so yeah.... I was refunded promptly which was nice as it stated around 10 days, but it was sooner than this. Overall, I wouldn't buy from JJHouse again as the monies paid doesn't represent the quality of the product and the cost of returns just isn't worth it either. I give 2* for prompt refund (although very unhappy with £10 return fee!) and another star as the dress was nice, just not worth £130.
