Price Changed After Quote — Very Disappointing Experience
I came to this shop last Tuesday to fix the cracked back camera screen on my phone. After checking, they quoted me $99 and said I’d need to leave my phone overnight. I agreed and told them I’d return the following week, which I did today. When I went back to drop off my phone, the lady checked the stock and suddenly told me the price had gone up to $150 because they’d “used all the cheaper stock” and only had the expensive one left. I reminded her that I was clearly told it would be $99 and even asked for that in writing. She assured me at the time that the price wouldn’t change. Now she’s saying I should have paid a deposit to secure the price — something that was never mentioned before. This is completely unacceptable. The lack of honesty, communication, and accountability is extremely disappointing. If a business can’t stand by their word or honour a simple quote from a week ago, it says a lot about how they treat customers. I will never go back and do not recommend this place at all.
