I appreciated the one on one lessons!
I appreciated the one on one lessons which I took for over one year. The lessons progressed at my pace and focused on my own needs and interests. As I gained ability I was able to venture out independently and navigate my way on errands, sightseeing, shopping and dining. My teacher used a variety of methods to assist me with committing words, pronunciation, and phrasing to memory and was infinitely patient. I especially enjoyed the conversational portions of lessons when I would be prompted to describe my weekend, what I was intending to do after class or travel past and future. Interesting as well is how the way in which Mandarin is spoken increased my awareness as to Chinese culture and way of thinking. I’m currently taking a break from lessons as my travel schedule has me away more than home. I intend to return to Mandarin Zone in future and continue my studies. Great experience! Thank you!
