QIDI

Shipping issues, Hot End Failures

I attempted to purchase through the QIDI Amazon store, but the hot ends were not available. So I ordered directly through their US Website and added some additional nozzles and a 5PK of ABS Filament. Then I receive a shipment notification through "Amazon Shipping" that I should expect to receive the items in about a week. The next day, I received a tracking number from FedEx with a 12/5 ETA. We received the first package wrapped in saran wrap with a shipping label that says "undeliverable" as of 12/5 and all of the boxes were damaged in one way or another. The shipping company was not listed on the shipping label and no one to contact. One hot end box was damaged, but the hot end was fine while the packaging for the other items was all damaged as well as the components inside. The next day, 12/6, FedEx delivered another box that looked in good shape. However, none of the items inside the box were secured with any packaging filler and all of the boxes, once again, were damaged. While the shipping companies are mainly to blame for the incident, there were no real options to file a claim, contact anyone and the shipping label on the saran wrapped items do not specify any company and the person that delivered in on our doorbell camera got out of their personal vehicle. Mind you, this is the 5th & 6th Hot End I have had to purchase for the Q1 Pro in the last 6 months using it sparingly at best. While primarily using a single filament type, they seem to be failing too quickly with only about 25-35 hours on each hot end before they fail with most prints rather small (30-55 minute prints). I really like the software and the QIDI printer, but it is becoming more of a headache than a solution.
