Be careful of your payment
I’ve been an Animoto customer for years, though I stopped using it for a while. Recently, I applied a promo code that extended my plan through February 2026. Later, I attempted to subscribe with a different discount code, expecting to see a field to enter it before confirming payment. Instead, Animoto charged my PayPal immediately without any confirmation prompt. It appears they retained my PayPal details from years ago and processed the payment automatically. To make matters worse, the original promo (valid until Feb 2026) was overwritten and forfeited. I contacted support, but they refused a refund despite zero usage after the charge. This experience feels misleading and unfair. Be cautious when attempting to apply new discounts—charges may process instantly, and prior promotions can be lost.
