MyUs has solved a problem for me…
MyUs has solved a problem for me regarding package consolidation, as I am a regular eBay customer. It would have cost me way more if I had to use eBay's shipping per item. It costs me US$10 per month to have the consolidation option. They charge a handling fee per value of items purchased, starting at US$10 once you make a purchase through them, so it may be worthwhile to purchase a few items at a time if you can. Once you are ready to ship all your items, you can choose your carrier, stating their cost, which I like. You also have the option of choosing, at an extra cost, extra packaging in your box, insurance, fragile stickers on your box, etc... You are then given a detailed breakdown of the final cost to ship your packages, which would include: shipping charges, your country's tax on the goods coming into your country, additional packaging costs if chosen, additional insurance costs if chosen, and your country's government/carrier taxes. I like that they notify you via email that a package has been received in your locker. They open your packages once they arrive and take photos, which, unfortunately, you have to pay for if you want to see your item. The photos become available free of charge once your items have shipped. If your item is damaged, they notify you via email and make the photos available for you to see free of charge. You can store your items for up to 30 days free of charge; thereafter, you will be charged a fee per day. Once you have received your package of items from them, you can give them feedback. There is a QR code on the box with a picture and the name of the person who packed your parcel. The only drawback for me is the exchange rate, where I have found that you would usually have to add an extra 10c to the current ROE when purchasing. Amazon has managed to secure a way better ROE, 20c - 30c cheaper than the current ROE. The other thing I would suggest to them is to give a bit more written detail on if an item has been received damaged. You kinda have to look for the damage from the photos, and sometimes, it's the packaging that's damaged and not the actual item. You are then given the option of what steps you want to take regarding the item. All in all, my 1 year+ of experience with MyUs has been great, and I will continue to use them.
