It is impossible to speak to a human Agent. Agoda also has predatory programming built into the searches. I've attempted booking on Agoda twice - in 2019 and 2026. The scam happened to me both times I attempted to book a stay while overseas. The scam runs like this - If you search for specific dates, rather than populate search results applicable to your search criteria, it changes the dates without warning, and ALWAYS for non-refundable and non-changeable bookings. Only after you make payment does it become apparent that you booked the wrong dates. Then begins the wild goose chase to find a human. The Agoda customer service chatbot is very elusive and linear with absolutely no option to refer to human agents. I was charged a $110 cancellation fee for reservation dates I never chose or searched for. Stick to Expedia or Priceline and avoid Agoda at ALL COSTS even if they are the only option. Instead, contact the facility directly for human contact and a price match.
