The U1: Pros and Cons
The Pros: First off, the filament savings is AWESOME! Secondly, the crispness of the prints is great, no bleeding between colors! It is fairly quiet and, so far, handles problems well; it does a decent job of indicating a problem and suggesting fixes. Third, the build area is bigger than my other printers, albeit not by much, which is great. Also, I will mention that the time between ordering the printer and receiving it was amazingly short... thanks! Finally, The Android app is pretty good, as is the Orca-based slicer. The Cons: It can be a bit hard figuring out what icons on the screen mean, thus the menu is a bit "fun" to navigate. The provided filament is relatively bland, and one reel was wound poorly and jammed, causing the loss of a print. Lastly, so far as we can tell, there is only one choice/size of extruder; more sizes will be nice. My wife and I use two Flashforge printers (ADM5M & AD5X) and a Bambu P1S. The U1 is a very worthy addition!
