I had previously left Lucid Trading a 5 star review....
I had previously left Lucid Trading a 5-star review based on my initial experience with the company. Unfortunately, I now feel I have no choice but to amend that review based on what has happened since. I have spent thousands of dollars with Lucid Trading on evaluations and reset fees while learning to trade futures. As many traders know, there is a steep learning curve, and Lucid has had no problem accepting my money throughout that process. The problem began when it finally came time for me to request a payout. I was locked out of my account and told that I needed to verify my identity before I would be allowed back in. I complied and successfully completed the identity verification through Plaid twice. Despite that, I remain completely locked out of my account while Lucid says they are reviewing my trading activity to determine whether I violated any rules. I have not broken a single trading rule, so I have absolutely no issue with them reviewing every trade I made. Review them. That is not my complaint. My complaint is the way this has been handled. Because Lucid has locked me out of my account, I cannot even access the live chat to ask what is happening or get an update. I have contacted them three separate times without receiving a response. To make matters worse, I then received an email claiming that I had failed to provide information they requested—even though I had already provided it. So at this point, my account is locked, I cannot access support through the normal channels, my identity has been successfully verified multiple times, my payout is being held up, and I cannot get anyone to explain what exactly is happening. How is that fair? A prop firm should be just as responsive and transparent when a trader becomes eligible for a payout as it is when that trader is purchasing evaluations and resets. If Lucid believes I violated a rule, then tell me exactly what rule I violated and provide the evidence. I am completely confident in my trading activity and have no problem with it being reviewed. But if I followed the rules, verified my identity, and earned the payout legitimately, then I expect Lucid to honor its obligations and restore access to my account. And if Lucid simply does not intend to pay me despite my compliance with its rules, then I respectfully request that the more than $5,000 I have spent with the company be refunded to me. I genuinely hope Lucid resolves this quickly and gives me a reason to update this review again. I would much rather be able to say that this was handled appropriately than leave this as my final experience with the company.
