I am giving 5 stars as overall things went great! There were bumps in the road along the way with communication from what the written things were stated and me having to get clarification from the advisor. Originally I was also told by the advisor that I could text him directly and then later found out that I could only talk with him after making an appointment. My inspection went amazing and once it was done the process felt easier. The only thing that didn’t make sense to me was the closing and moving out. The written directions have you taking pictures of your empty house after moving out before you can close. This makes no sense if you are trying to do a simultaneous close, selling one to buy another. And you can’t move out of one into another until the closing is done. The other bump which was very stressful to me was how the closing was handled. After figuring out how the closing and empty house pictures was to work, the title company told me we would start the closing process a couple days early and finish the day before so that funds would transfer in time for the closing of my new house. But the i get an email, not a phone call asking me to get payoff information from my mortgage company on one day and the next day a new payoff for my solar. This made things much more stressful, especially when I have move in things scheduled and movers scheduled. But bottom line everything worked out in the end. I am still kind of in the process as we are now hoping that Opendoor sells our home for what we know it should sell for so that we get additional proceeds.
