I would rate HSBC Malaysia zero stars…
I would rate HSBC Malaysia zero stars if that were possible. HSBC Malaysia requested supporting documents for domestic and international transfers (all under HSBC) between accounts under the same name dating back 12 months. This raises a serious concern: does the bank not retain or review transaction records for at least the past 12 months? It is unreasonable to expect customers to provide supporting documents for transactions that should already be traceable within the bank's own system. What is even more surprising is that I was asked to provide a marriage certificate to prove my relationship with my wife, despite the fact that she has been holding an HSBC supplementary credit card linked to my account for more than 10 years. This information should already be available within HSBC's records. As a Premier customer, I find this process highly inefficient, redundant, and disappointing. The repeated requests for information that the bank already possesses create unnecessary inconvenience and reflect poorly on the overall customer experience. HSBC should review and improve its internal processes to ensure a more seamless and customer-centric approach, particularly for long-standing Premier customers.
