Very, very clever
Very, very clever. I am a big fan of the Zoe team however I was a little bit sceptical about this app. Something clicked when I listened to Sarah’s short video on mindful eating (if they were going to tell me to meditate between mouthfuls I was binning the free trial). I really started to think about what I was eating and why. I’d got into the habit of eating when I wasn’t hungry, eating because my husband was snacking & even eating things I don’t particularly like, like ice cream (now swapped for dark chocolate). I wanted to loose some post menopausal weight and I have. I’ve held off writing a review until I really started seeing results. I’m now on day 80, I’ve lost 4 definite pounds, my aim was 7, I’m not looking for a quick fix, I wanted a lifestyle change. I visited Germany recently & ate cake every day for 9 days & still came home a little bit lighter. I didn’t pile up my holiday breakfast plate because I thought about whether I was actually hungry, or not, I just ate until I felt satisfied & did the same for lunch & dinner. I never skip (or lie about) putting in the app what I’ve eaten everyday, and seeing the feedback on each meal is very informative. I always thought I needed breakfast but I actually don’t, so resting my gut for 12-14 hours isn’t a problem (this wasn’t as easy on holiday) I just eat something when I’m hungry, I look at food I used to just grab because it was there but now I ask myself do I really want that? am I actually hungry? I add the Zoe 30+ supplement to my fruit & yogurt & most salads and my digestion has thanked me for it (it did take about 8 weeks for the effects to kick in, I assumed that my gut was sort of reprograming itself). My husband & I followed Prof. Tim during Covid & used the app every day, he was the adult in the room throughout, if he didn’t know something he said so & continued to work on improving his knowledge for the better. I feel that the Zoe team are all committed to improving people’s health & I have every confidence that they will update their research as & when, to improve their products. The Zoe team deserve every success. I would encourage anyone to do the free trial, see how the app works & listen to the videos.
