★★★★☆ Powerful engineering printer with excellent customer support — but prepare your setup environment I've been using the QIDI MAX4 for about 2 months, printing over 6kg of filament including PETG-CF. 【What I liked】 The build volume of 390×390×340mm is generous, allowing large models up to 30cm to be printed in one piece. The 370°C nozzle temperature handles PA, PC, and CF filaments without issue. Small but appreciated details: the LED bar light under the bed lets you check print progress from across the room, and the power switch on the right side panel is conveniently placed. 【Customer Support — genuinely impressive】 When I accidentally damaged my hotend, I contacted support and was assigned to Linda, who responded promptly and professionally throughout. Before I even heard back about a replacement, she arranged to send me a brand new hotend including the nozzle — completely free of charge. It arrived the next day from a Japanese warehouse. I'm currently working through a QIDI BOX feed issue with her support, and while it's taking time due to the complexity of the problem, the communication has remained consistent and helpful throughout. For a Chinese brand, this level of after-sales support honestly surprised me in the best way. 【Things to be aware of】 The printer, QIDI BOX, and Polar Cooler require 3 separate power outlets. The printer and BOX use grounded plugs, so a power strip with earth terminals is recommended. The exhaust duct exits from the rear, so flush-to-wall placement isn't possible. Community-designed exhaust chutes are available online and can be printed as a workaround. The optional Polar Cooler runs a bit loud, produces condensation drain water requiring a collection container, and comes with a short drain hose that needs extending. Firmware update notifications sometimes appear but the update button cannot be pressed. The smartphone app connection also dropped unexpectedly and the bind QR code stopped displaying. 【Overall】 A capable machine for anyone serious about engineering filaments. The support experience alone sets it apart from many competitors. I'll update to 5 stars once the BOX issue is fully resolved.
