Tebra

Website creation experience was terrible with Tebra

My husband and I are both physicians, and we signed up with Tebra in April 2026 for both their EHR and website development services. Initially, we were assigned a senior onboarding manager, but we were later transferred to Andrea because we were told she specialized in website development. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The website development process took over 45 days, largely because very little progress was made between our weekly meetings. Most of the website content was based on Tebra's standard templates, and I ended up writing and editing the majority of the content myself to ensure it accurately represented our practice and services. When the website was considered "ready," it still had several formatting issues. Fortunately, I was able to work with another Tebra team member who was knowledgeable, efficient, and quickly corrected many of the formatting problems before the site went live. Without that assistance, the website would have launched in an unprofessional state. We were encouraged to publish the website quickly because, once it goes live, the website development team's involvement ends. Any future edits must go through customer support, which has been slow and difficult to work with. We requested website changes over a week ago and are still waiting. My advice is to make sure every detail is finalized before agreeing to launch, because making changes afterward is much more challenging. What was even more frustrating is that during this entire period, very little progress was made with our EHR onboarding. Since we signed up as a two-provider practice, I believe Tebra should have assigned separate onboarding specialists or additional support. Instead, we had only one onboarding manager responsible for both providers, which significantly slowed the entire implementation process. My intention in writing this review is not simply to criticize Tebra but to help other physicians set realistic expectations. The quality of your assigned onboarding manager can have a major impact on your overall experience and the speed of launching your practice. My recommendations for new providers: Ask who your onboarding manager will be before getting too far into the process. If progress is slow, request a different onboarding specialist early. Do not approve your website to go live until every detail has been thoroughly reviewed and finalized. If you're looking for a highly customized, premium website, consider hiring an independent web developer. In my opinion, you can obtain a significantly higher-quality website for about half of what Tebra charges. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Tebra's website development service for practices seeking a high-end, custom website.
