great solution for vegan lunches
I needed help with lunch. I work from home but don't want to waste my lunch hour cooking, don't want to order delivery, and wanted to offload the mental load of meal planning. But mentally and emotionally it's become important for me to have a special lunch, because dinner is just chaos with 2 young kids. So far (4 weeks) Hungryroot has been the perfect solution. I'm not vegan but my wife is and I wanted to share lunch with her, so I set up my preferences as vegan. So far every single meal has been delicious, not a single bad one yet. Everything about the service just works. Food arrives in a box with ice so it's fresh, and the packaging doesn't seem too wasteful. The meals have been a perfect balance in terms of the amount of prep time also - not so much that I'm losing my lunch hour, but enough that I feel like I'm doing a healthy daily ritual. I was hesitant to try another meal service after a bad experience with another one, but I'm relieved that Hungryroot is working so well.
