Problem with my VXE R1 S NK mouse and its NK mouse NANO dongle.
The mouse itself is excellent – lightweight, comfortable, and a huge upgrade over my previous mouse. The shape, weight, and overall performance are great, and based on those aspects alone, I'd happily recommend it. Unfortunately, my experience with customer service has been very disappointing. On July 20, my VXE R1 S NK lost its wireless connection after I tried updating the receiver (NK NANO dongle) firmware through ATK Hub. The mouse still works fine over USB, but the wireless connection has been completely dead ever since. I contacted support and was told to follow a full troubleshooting procedure: uninstall ATK Hub completely, delete all residual folders (%APPDATA%, Program Files), do a full system restart, reinstall the latest ATK Hub, and connect both the mouse and dongle directly to rear motherboard USB ports. I followed every step exactly. The result: the "Start Flashing Firmware" button for the receiver remains permanently greyed out, so the firmware update can't even be started — meaning the dongle can't be re-flashed or reset. I also tried the official manual re-pairing procedure (holding left click + scroll + right click for 5 seconds) multiple times, without success. Support acknowledged that this points to the receiver firmware likely being corrupted during the interrupted update, which would mean permanent recognition failure — essentially bricking the dongle's wireless function. I asked for confirmation and next steps (e.g., a warranty replacement). Wendy from support replied within a day the first time, which gave me confidence. But after that, I've now been waiting over a week for a reply to my follow-up, despite sending a polite check-in email. To be clear, this isn't a complaint about the mouse itself — it's a genuinely great product. I just hope the customer service side improves, because being left without updates after a firmware update bricked my dongle is frustrating. A warning to other buyers: be very careful when updating the receiver firmware through ATK Hub. If the update gets interrupted or fails, you may permanently lose the wireless connection, with no way to reflash the dongle yourself — and then face a long wait for support to even confirm a fix or replacement.
