Back-to-back stays at two different PadSplit properties revealed a recurring pattern of neglect and zero host accountability. At my first property, support's only solution to a tenant smoking up the house, bringing in unsanctioned guests, and unplugging security cameras was telling me to transfer incurring hundreds of dollars in moving fees. My second property was no better—ignored maintenance tickets, exposed live electrical outlets, stolen nest thermostat, and residents being locked out with wrong codes and no response from hosts. PadSplit needs to start holding non-compliant hosts accountable and protecting tenants instead of making tenants pay fees out of pocket to to escape unsafe and unreliable environments.
