Michele was a very nice, but

Michele was a very nice, polite lady. However, she didn't seem to have a feel for what I needed. To be fair, there were glitches in communication. She at first thought I was interested in College Park, MD. I was trying to contact a specific Marriott in Frederick, MD. She quoted me a cost of $2700 for a 4 night stay and launched into a long discussion about refund restrictions that I had trouble following. She found alternatives that were in a similar range. Another glitch meant she had to send me a text to reconnect. Why she would ever think I would pay $2700 for a basic room in Frederick is beyond my understanding. I told her my expectation was that it would cost less than $1k, something she should have expected. She happily showed me an alternative that was $1k at another Marriott nearby. At this point, in spite of her professional attitude, I lost trust in her. Was she upselling me? I told her I prefered using the Marriott app since I had seen lower rates there, but she insisted she could help. I was a little confused and flustered at this point and wound up booking the room for $1k, even though it was 2 queens and not the king I wanted, but she presented this as all that was available. After the call I went to the Marriott app and found a room for $650 that was a king. I cancelled the first booking but was unsure how much would be refunded. Your robot told me there would be no additional charges. It then explained that my cancelation would not cost me anything, but I was still unsure whether I was locked in for prepaid costs, with what appeared to be double talk in the receipt. The robot was effective to a point, but still left me wondering. Overall it was a frustrating experience that left me shaking.
