Scammers!
I came across a WorkWithShadow ad on Instagram advertising a subscription at a low price. After signing up, I was charged EUR 109.63 for three separate items I did not explicitly agree to (7-Day Plan, Accountability Coach, AI Companion). I immediately requested a full refund under my legal right of withdrawal (EU Directive 2011/83/EU, 14-day cooling-off period). I had not used the service at all. The company refused, citing an internal policy requiring me to complete 7 consecutive lessons before being eligible for a refund — a condition that directly contradicts EU consumer law. They offered 25%, then 50%, but never the full amount I was entitled to. I had to open a chargeback through my bank to recover the full amount. The lesson: what is advertised and what you are charged are two different things. And recovering your money requires escalating to your bank, not trusting their support team.
