DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I purchased a Gold Shield 5L car cover in summer 2025, for $143.97. It carried a lifetime warranty. It was used for less than 3 weeks in 2025 and just 1 week in 2026, at which time it began severely disintegrating into gray powder, leaving only a thin tissue-like inner layer that is now breaking apart. It is rendered useless. The “lifetime warranty” is prorated, allowing replacement only after a $35.99 fee as it is more than 6 months since purchase. While the cover was purchased more than 6 months ago, it has only been used less than four weeks and NEVER in inclimate weather. Despite the proration terms, a “Lifetime Warranty” implies and represents a specific level of quality that should not degrade in less than four weeks. To require repayment of nearly one-third of the original purchase price for a lifetime-warranted product after four months’ use is disingenuous at best and misleading/fraudulent at worst. Company responses have simply been: "Read the warranty." This company should be prohibited from selling this product.
