Awful Experience
I have an 829 credit score, stable income, and long banking history — yet my experience with SoFi was the most exhausting and disorganized loan process I’ve ever dealt with. I gave SoFi full access to my bank accounts, including login verification, so they could see every deposit and withdrawal. I provided pay stubs, employment letters, and even had my husband’s café owner complete their verification form. They rejected the employer verification simply because it wasn’t from a “certified business email,” then called the owner and interviewed her — and still didn’t accept it. This dragged on for over a week. Every day, different SoFi reps called us asking the exact same questions, clearly not reading the notes on our file. No progress, no consistency, no communication. Just an endless loop of repetitive verification. Meanwhile, I walked into my local bank and was approved for a loan in under 24 hours with zero hassle and no invasive demands. After more than a week of frustration, I finally gave up and withdrew my application. SoFi’s process is not built for real people with real jobs. I will not use them again.
