I love the idea hate the execution
I love the idea, hate the execution. Saw this on a video and loved the idea and wanted to do this for my fiancés birthday. So I booked it. First off they promise you a call within 72 hours, but for me it took them over 120. More than five days without no call. I even had to message support to see if everything was okay. I finally get the call, and my agents tone didn’t seem right with me, I was reading all the reviews and a lot of the people were saying they had a great agent and was happy for them, etc. I guess I was just expecting a lot more but it’s okay. The location I got wasn’t bad, never been there except on a cruise but that doesn’t really count since it’s only for a couple hours. She tells me the dates though and they were almost a month from the preferred dates I asked for. I’m also in the reserves and the dates landed on days I was required to go to for the military. I tell the agent this and she says she’ll find me something else but not guaranteed. Couple minutes later she finds me dates that are really close to my preferred dates, but at $100 per person for “airfare” keep in mind this cost still doesn’t even come with baggage. I don’t necessarily need baggage because I’m military but for someone that isn’t this that’s crazy. I’m telling my agent that the September dates cannot legally work for me and asked to speak with the manager(I swear I’m not that type of guy) he later basically said the same thing as the other agent, but kinda ruder in a way. Like he wasn’t rude but he was like “did you not see that dates are not guaranteed” etc. I understand it’s not guaranteed but being a month off from what I asked for is genuinely crazy, but then when you tell me “oh but we have these dates that practically work perfectly for you it’s an extra $100 per person” It seems like this is a whole money grab and you could literally do this whole thing yourself for half the cost. Just have AI tell you where you’re going and find you flights & hotel and buy it yourself. Don’t think you’re getting a steal out of this. What genuinely pissed me off is either I can’t go to the vacation and loose my $$$ or pay an extra $200 just to go on the vacation dates I could go to. Both staff members were not considerate whatsoever, this was genuinely supposed to be a birthday surprise for my fiancé, but I could’ve done much better for how much I ended up spending. This is not worth it if you’re paying for your own bags, paying for hotel fees(which it says I’m also paying $34 a night for) and all the extras. I’m going to probably be ending up spending $800-1000 just for a three day vacation here in the states. Absolutely miserable.
