CueMath interactive platform
Cue Math has provided a solution for my child in 7th grade to connect with a tutor who can guide her aspirations to learn higher level of Math in Algebra and Geometry along with cementing strong fundamentals . The flexibility CueMath provides in scheduling lessons worked very well with my Child’s schedule who has to balance her time with athletics. The interactive learning platform has been useful for tutor/student communication during the 1:1 instruction. The tutor introduces the concept that my child can understand and encourages my child to ask questions and helps her understand. I like that the tutor tries to help my child’s thought process to breakdown complex problems into multi layered simple steps to solve the problem. Tutor arranges for PTO to help understand students progress. Things that can improve: -Make the platform compatible with tablet devices like iPad instead of having to connect to a computer and connecting with a writing pad. There are many times my child who tours different cities for her athletics felt handicapped without this, falling back to writing on a paper and showing her work on camera for her tutoring interaction. - I want the tutor to be present at all times during the class (without stepping away) frequently nudging my child into talking out loud what my child is thinking as the problem is being worked out. - Frequently quiz my child with questions to keep my child on toes during the class. - I believe such practices allows them to hear themselves as they speak out loud and also encourages them to ease the verbal interaction. - Once a concept is learnt help my child gain speed in solving them. Give her enough homework to practice on the concept with real world applications. - As the homework is assigned in CueMath have the platform send the tutor statistics on how fast the student is solving the problems. And challenge the student in homework accordingly - I want the parent teacher meetings to be scheduled for a max of 45mins so we can align on students progress and plan on development.
