Six weeks, 50+ emails, and a $299 refund they admit they never paid
I have never experienced customer service this poor. Mindvalley approved a $299 refund on 3 July. It is now 10 August and I still have not received a penny. Over six weeks I have exchanged more than 50 messages with their support team and been given at least seven different deadlines, every single one of which passed with no payment. I was told the refund was "processed," then "processed again," then blocked by a "system glitch," then routed through a "manual refund form," then a third-party "Airbase" payout link, then given a series of new dates none of which were ever met. When I contacted PayPal directly, they confirmed no refund had ever actually been processed despite Mindvalley repeatedly telling me it had. Their own emails even admit "no funds were ever transferred." Throughout, I dealt with a rotating cast of support agents whose replies were generic and templated, full of apologies but with zero authority to actually release my money. Every request to speak to a manager was ignored. Every request for compensation for the weeks of delay was brushed aside. As a single-income household, this refund mattered to me, and being strung along for six weeks over money they openly acknowledge they owe has been stressful and, frankly, disgraceful. I am now escalating through PayPal, my card issuer, and the Financial Ombudsman. If you are considering a purchase, be very aware of how difficult it is to get your money back if anything goes wrong. I would think twice. The irony of the company ethos is unreal
